Welcome Article

Happy. Playful. Childlike. These words described three-year-old Gabriel who infected everyone with his cheerful personality. He had a loving single mother, aunt, and uncle who doted on him, display how much he’s loved. Love from the home front was not all he had. Gabriel experienced the same love from his neighbors and teachers. In fact, his neighbors looked forward to waving at him as he walked briskly with his yellow lunchbox dangling from his hand. He was a joy to e anyone who came in contact with him.

On one bright Thursday morning, Gabriel visited the hospital instead of school, due to a high temperature. And on seeing the doctor, a nurse was directed to administer a dose of injection on Gabriel on his butt, causing him to scream out of pain. It was so painful that he couldn’t walk home. His mother dutifully carried him in her arms.

Three days later, a big abscess developed on the spot where he was injected causing Gabriel to limp as he walked around. Oh! He screamed in pain for every step he took. The once cheerful three years old was writhing in pain. It was so bad his family, neighbors, and teachers prayed the challenge would pass because it looked impossible.

Although it looked impossible, it did pass. Oh yes, it did! Gabriel is eighteen today walking confidently and perfectly like nothing happened, just a mark to show for it.

Sometimes we go through difficult times in our lives, just like the COVID 19 pandemic, wondering if it will ever end. Yes, it will rest assured this too will pass.

So as you celebrate Easter 'locked in', remember to enjoy the season with your family and neighbors. Dress beautifully, cook sumptuous meals, and take pictures. Create lasting memories to remember these times because this whole pandemic will soon pass.
